2. Northeast We live in this region
Four seasons- winter, spring, summer, and fall
Coastal Plain- a flat lowland along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean

3. Southeast Crisscrossed with rivers
Large area of wetlands- swamps, marshes, and bayous.

4. Middle- west Central Plain- in the east, low elevation, produces corn
Great Plain- in the west, cold winters/hot summers, produces wheat

5. Southwest
One of the most famous landform in this region is the Grand Canyon.
Mostly made up of high plateaus, plains, and deserts
The Rocky Mountains appear in this region as well as the west

6. West Tallest redwood trees in the world
Landforms include mountains, plateaus, and valleys
Home to the Great Basin

7. Atlantic Coastal Plain
We live in this region
Covers more than half of NJ
Fall line separates the Atlantic Coastal Plain from the Piedmont
Home to the pinelands

8. Piedmont Nj's greatest population Located at the foothills
Palisades form the eastern border
Fall line separates the Piedmont from the Atlantic Coastal Plain

9. Highlands Most of the lakes are located here
The town of Franklin are known for there glowing rocks

10. Ridge and Valley
Home to the Delaware Water Gap and High Point State Park
Dairy farming is an important business
Appalachian Mountains run through this region
