2 Technical Principle used in Number Porting:
Types of Numbers in NL Geographic Numbers – Geographic numbers are fixed line numbers having physical termination at customer end. They start with a local area code, not 088, 0800, 090X and 06 Non Geographic Numbers – Non-Geo numbers are 0800 Freephone, 090X premium rate, 088 Nomadic and 06 Mobile (not supported by Colt) Technical Principle used in Number Porting: The gaining operator submits the porting request to the releasing operator with a preferred date and time. Once approved by the releasing operator, the gaining operator initiates the porting on this date and time via a broadcast to all operators. 14 November 2018 Presentation title

3 Porting Windows and Porting Procedure
NL has standard porting windows from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. OOH is possible by request on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 21:00. The porting team receives the porting request from different channels, either from AE or Colt reseller. The preferred porting date/time is requested by the customer 10 days in advance. The customer will be informed by Colt if the porting date is accepted or rejected by the releasing operator. Once accepted, the porting request can be postponed or cancelled 15 working days after the preferred porting date/time. On the preferred porting date/time the customer initiates the porting. If the customer does not wish to carry out the port on the scheduled date/time they can keep the request open for 15 working days. 14 November 2018 Presentation title

All the Scheduling in regards to Porting is coordinated by the NL porting team: or The customer can choose a managed or unmanaged porting. Unmanaged: Porting is done on preferred date/time without further notifications. Managed: On the preferred porting date/time the Customer Switch Maintainer will contact the Porting Activation Team on +31 (0) to initiate the porting. The Porting Activation Team Performs the porting with the releasing carrier and performs the testing. The Porting Activation Team confirms back to the customer about the successful port completion.
