There are two types of online students
Those physically on campus
Those who are living and working outside of Tucson
Getting to know online students requires some effort
Availability (and lack of) for both sets of students is very important
Assignments (particularly group work) should take both groups into account

6. State Expectations Clearly
Written expectations are always best
Posting in multiple places (handouts, syllabi, D2L) helps students remember
Expectations must not contravene University policies, but may exceed them, for example
