This week I want you to review the syllabus video. In the context of our PowerPoint slides, we're going to explore the rationale for the course, give you a minimal introduction to the course, and will begin our conversation about scientific method. We'll probably wait to talk about internal and external validity and constraints in control and research until next week’s slides.

Throughout the course, you will see differently themed slides and narrators which will signal the purposes of each slide. Dr. Kolmogorov, of the Kolmogorov-Smirnoff normality test, seen here receiving his Nobel prize, will be our introducer of topics. So when you see him, you'll know are making a theme switch.
