1. Start writing—start at the beginning, the middle, or the end—just start somewhere
1. Don’t stare off into space
2. Get your ideas written down—organization can come later
2. Don’t worry about perfection

3. Assignment
Write a college admission/scholarship/personal statement essay
Use one you brought in and follow the criteria (you will need to provide me with the prompt and criteria)
Use a prompt from the yellow sheet
Your essay should be between words (including the title)
A title is mandatory
