U.P. NOW! Currently 284 providers sites across the U.P. and Wisconsin are using MCIR 260 provider sites in the U.P. 24 provider sites in Wisconsin 23 different facility types

Facility Types Through a grant received by MDHHS, facility types in MCIR were revamped to be more accurate and descriptive of the type of facility 42 facility types for providers now exist Types of facilities added were: Specialty Human Services Urgent Care Employee/Occupational Health Corporate

EXT, HL7 and QBP EXT The creation of an external flat file from the provider’s EMR or spreadsheet that contains the specifications for the record format used to interact with MCIR. There are currently 7 sites using EXT transfer HL7 The electronic submission of data from the provider’s EMR/EHR directly to MCIR. There are currently 76 sites using HL7 data transfer There are 16 sites approved for HL7 pending training QBP The bidirectional request for a complete forecast and history of a person’s immunization record. There are currently 0 sites using the QBP

REGIONAL MCIR Newsletter Sites of Excellence Initiatives
Redesigned in 2015, but looking at new and innovative ways to create a newsletter interesting to providers Posted on Region 6 MCIR website through the regional News Screen in MCIR for ease of access Sites of Excellence Site of Excellence Award Program redesigned to be presented once each year for multiple qualifying sites; the first presentations to be held in January 2017 Initiatives Currently researching ways to post various initiatives where Local Health Departments may access electronically to reduce printing/mailing costs
