2 This is an alpaca.

3 Here is a fox. Note the difference between the fur on its face and the fur on the tail.

4 This is a black-faced lamb. The fur on a lamb is called “wool”.

6 These are sheep that live in England
These are sheep that live in England. The weather is much cooler there than it is in Texas. Their coats of wool are very thick.

7 This is a Highland Cow. It is only found in the northern part of Scotland. It is cold and windy there. This cow has horns like the Texas longhorn, but the Texas longhorn sure doesn’t need a furry coat in the Texas summer!

14 You can see that many animals have fur as their covering.
Some fur is long; some fur is short. There are many colors of fur. Fur protects an animal and can keep it warm.
