AGENDA Who is the audience? What are the right questions to ask?
What is the best format to use? Result: template to create a great one-pager! Audience External companies / organizations (i.e. Corporate Research Partnerships perspective) Questions What are the topics you want to convey to a company? What questions can you ask researchers that will help you formulate the message to a company? What information do we need (and/or do researchers need) to showcase their research for optimal tech transfer and/or partnership uptake? Format An introductory 1-pager is one format. What are other formats to introduce a researcher to a company? Framing the ‘researcher summary’ as a ‘pitch’ for partnerships. What other things should we take into consideration? Result and next steps A template, based on all of the top ideas you all come up with in this session, that will be created and sent to you to use. Discussion around ‘what’s next’ : How do we share the ‘pitch’ model with researchers and get their buy-in? Best practices for pitching (with this information) to companies.
