42 Abstract Photography Assignment
Your assignment is to capture the abstract with your camera. 36 shots total. You must show all of the following within your roll of film, or you will have to redo it: Angles and unique perspective, close-ups, lighting, scale, motion You want to try to capture the beauty of greytones all around you, the beauty of simple shapes, lines, angles, and viewpoints. ABSTRACT photography is often overlooked, and deemed ‘boring”, however, these are the shots that most people choose to hang on there wall and stare at day after day! You can set up a “Mock” studio in your house using a lamp and a black or white sheet. You can illuminate a very simple subject and focus on an area that might not normally get attention. You can juxtapose two unrelated objects in order to make a statement, too! You should be using natural light, but you may experiment with a few shots inside as long as your light source is natural. Use your imagination to show creative abstraction.
