It can take any form and comprise of whatever activities you like.
Your lesson should include:
Some exploration of the content & meaning of the poem (key themes, feelings, mood and tone)
Detailed exploration of language, form and structure including how it affects the reader.
How you would approach writing about the poem.
Begin by getting to grips with the poem; annotating in as much detail as possible using the techniques and skills learnt so far.

They understand the poem’s message and key language features.
