A memoir is like a novel because it also has a plot, characters, dialogue, setting, conflict, symbols and themes. The only difference is that isa story about a real person and their life. This means you must read the information carefully and having the ability to describe what you are being asked to do. You must think about what different approaches or strategies you can use to complete it

1. What is the problem I am being asked to solve or answer?
2. What am I being asked to do?
3. Who is my audience?
4. How will I evulated for the process I've used, the info the collected, and the final project?
5. What must I do to find the answer, complete the task, and present the product?
6. What should I do to get started?
7. What is my plan for doing this research?

Explore the topic using a nuber of sources. These may involve print, electronic, or human resources. Make sure your sources are reliable. Consider using encycloedias, videos, books, etc. Remember that your topic can have several subtopics as well, which can be helpful in your searches in library catalogues, tables of contents, databases, websites, etc.
