A reading from the book of Exodus God said to Moses,
‘So now I am sending you to Pharaoh, for you to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.’ Moses said to God, 'Who am I to go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?' 'I shall be with you,' God said, 'and this is the sign by which you will know that I was the one who sent you. After you have led the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.'

'Look, if I go to the Israelites and say to them,
Moses then said to God, 'Look, if I go to the Israelites and say to them, "The God of your ancestors has sent me to you," and they say to me, "What is his name?" what am I to tell them?’ God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO AM' And he said, 'This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM has sent me to you." ‘ - Exodus 3:10-14

By saying “I AM” God is revealing that He is the fullness of being.
Reflection In this mysterious conversation between God and Moses, God reveals to us His name, “I AM WHO AM.” It is significant that God reveals His name and it shows us more about who He is. By saying “I AM” God is revealing that He is the fullness of being. He has no beginning, He has no end, and He simply is.
6
God is also the fullness of truth; He cannot deceive and
He always keeps His promises. God is the fullness of love; He loves us more than we could ever imagine. God’s love is never ending and never fading.
7
has ultimate authority over everything.
God the Father is almighty; there is nothing that is impossible for Him. He is all- powerful and has ultimate authority over everything. But at the same time, He is our loving Father who takes care of our every need.
8
Spend a moment of quiet to think about what you have just heard.
How would it change your life?

We pray together using the same words Jesus used to pray to His Father
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. Amen
