Pharaoh clearly is afraid of the males The females are the ones that outwit him God uses a cursed tribe You are never too useless for God

Pharaoh orders all males to be thrown into the river So Moses was thrown into the river Pharaoh’s pays for Moses’s training We need to allow God to be God

Jesus’ birth follows a similar pattern

14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” 16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.

Jesus’ birth follows a similar pattern In Hebrew basket = ark Means of destruction used for salvation We need to be found in the ark of Jesus

Living With The Unexpected God
Be the humble people He wants to use Be willing to hand over control to God Put trust in our ark – Jesus Look for God in the unexpected!
