2. Nevada ARNG Honor Guard
MISSION
Mission Statement
Render professional military funeral honors,
in accordance with service tradition,
to all eligible veterans when requested by
an authorized family member.

3. A Dedicated Group…. NVARNG Honor Guard is under the direct
supervision of the G1 SGM.
A DoD contract coordinator assists
in federal program oversight
10 full time Guard Soldiers conduct
daily operations for the
Military Funeral Honors Program
in the Northern and Southern regions
Over 100 M-Day Soldiers support the
Nevada State Army Honor Guard
mission statewide

REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON THE HONOR GUARD TEAM
SOLDIER MUST HAVE COMPLETED AIT
SOLDIER MUST HAVE A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM THEIR UNIT COMMANDER OR 1SG
SOLDIER MUST HAVE A PASSING RECORD APFT FROM THEIR UNIT AND BRING IN THEIR DA 705 APFT SCORECARD
SOLDIER MUST BE WITHIN AR (HEIGHT AND WEIGHT) AND NOT FLAGGED
