2013 Needs Assessment The following top five priorities emerged from the statewide survey: Strengthening families Youth who are productive citizens and effective leaders Economic development in communities Youth who are literate and ready in STEM Increasing family financial capability Strengthening families (20 regions listed this need in their top five) Youth who are productive citizens and effective leaders (18 regions listed this need in their top five) Economic development in communities (17 regions listed this need in their top five) Youth who are literate and ready in STEM (11 regions listed this need in their top five) Increasing family financial capability (9 regions listed this need in their top five).
