Pros/Cons of the Flipped Classroom
Quality Increase Reusability of Content Chunks Engagement More Granular Insights Greater Accountability Increased Communications and Program Management Increased Accountability Design and Development Timeline Pros Cons 3 mins I don’t care how fast you are – If you can get a video or eLearning completed by end of day, you’re still not beating the seconds it takes to get a Google Search Result If you’re a member of Bersin, check the numbers, you’re department is half-way down the list of the places I’m going to go if I need to learn a skill to do my job. With more companies on SaaS LMSs, more of us are sitting in a place where we’ve got the infrastructure to handle this, whether it’s through xAPI or just letting informal content into our system, regardless, we’re setup. Our bigger challenge is rate of adotpion of new features (like ratings, recommendations, capturing course/learner data).

Challenges What Surprised Us Culture Technology
SMEs Business Leaders Learning Professionals Learners Technology Assess/Assign Video Creation Exams Tracking/Reporting What Surprised Us 5 mins What I won’t do today is argue the merit of the concept. I get the concept just like all of you – 10 years in this field and I also believe I can design some amazing training programs – I’m just crazy enough to believe I can change an organization with good instructional design Quality increased as hours decreased Getting to a pre-assessment that we could use to chart a path was harder than expected.

What new/additional technology do you need? All tables take this question. Discussion #5 5 min for discussion at table 6 min for readout
