Teaching content is not enough
Science content will be linked to the Science and Engineering Practices. Too often content has been taught in isolation or is fragmented. Performance indicators describe outcomes – what students should be able to do to demonstrate knowledge and understanding. Science is a body of knowledge and the process by which that knowledge was obtained. You can’t learn science content without doing the process of science.
