Never is there a license to sin. Sin is never tolerated by God. Is Grace a license to sin?

One of the reasons Martin Luther started the reformation (not restoration) is because he found a drunk in the ditch who said he had bought an “indulgence” to sin from the local priest. Thus, he said he had no reason to confess or repent of his actions. Is Grace a license to sin?

To what are you a slave to?
You are a slave to whom you obey, righteousness or sin. 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? Romans 6:16 To what are you a slave to?
