“He is sitting on the stool. Two things: he + stool Relationship: one is sitting on the other. The pencil is in my hand. Two things: pencil + hand Relationship: one is in the other

Prepositional Phrases
These are prepositional phrases: off the light over the fence on the stool Prepositional phrases start with a preposition and end with the object of the preposition.
