Using the Ongoing Feedback Appraisal System

Scheduling Feedback Sessions
Departments can schedule the 3 or 4 feedback sessions/conversations at times that meet their needs HR will send reminders, but these in-person meetings should determine the timing of the appraisals Most pilot participants schedule with the Outlook calendar and then work on answering the questions a few days before the meeting

Accessing Ongoing Feedback System
Access the system the same way you accessed the old appraisal system On SAS HR Website or > Business tab> Req. Mgmt. System Use “Ongoing Feedback” Section Self-appraisals and mid-year appraisals not required

First click on Details link under My Staff Appraisals and Feedback

Answering Questions Toggle between supervisor questions/answers
and staff questions/answers

Answering Each Question
A pop-up box will show up after clicking the plus sign Save as Draft once entry is complete

Edit or Deleting Each Question
Edit or delete questions after saving them as draft Option to attach file for each question. Can be supplemental or can attach one document with all questions answered

Sharing feedback Use “Share All Draft Notes” before scheduled conversation/meeting with supervisor (sends an ) Use “Mark All Notes Complete” after conversation/meeting, making any necessary changes, if needed (Don’t forget this step!!)

Soliciting Feedback from Others
The supervisor has an option to solicit feedback from other staff members Names of solicited staff members will show at top Solicited feedback will show as the supervisor’s unless it marked otherwise

Record of Feedback Under My Feedback, you can view or export your Feedback History Each year the responses to each question will create a rolling log, which can be exported into PDF format
