This place acts like the brain of the cell. It has deoxyribonucleic acid (or __________) inside which is like information that is stored.
This is like the protective cover for the cell. Kind of like skin for the cell.

This is the “package” that carries proteins, nutrients, and water into, out of, and around the cell.
This is the place that produces energy inside the cell. It makes energy by doing ___________ ____________.
This is like small factories that are embedded in endoplasmic reticulum that produces proteins.
This is the storage place for water, nutrients, or waste.

This has ribosomes embedded in them giving it a rough and pimply look. Unfinished proteins made by the ribosomes are finished here. Once complete, proteins are sent to Golgi body through vesicles.
This sorts the proteins that have arrived from endoplasmic reticulum. It then sends the proteins to where they are needed (again through vesicles).
This is a type of vesicle that contains digestive chemicals to break down unwanted substances inside the cell.

8. Organelles
Nucleus: Contains heredity information called DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). Acts like the brain of the cell that controls what the cell does.
Mitochondria: Energy producer of the cell. Does cellular respiration to convert food (sugar) into energy.

9. Organelles Ribosome: Factory that makes proteins (workers).
Endoplasmic reticulum: Folded structure that houses ribosomes. Proteins are completed here and sent to Golgi body.

Vesicles: Small bubble like structure made of membrane. Contains proteins, nutrients, or water
Golgi body: Receives proteins from endoplasmic reticulum by vesicles. Afterwards, it sends these proteins to where they are needed .

Vacuoles: It is Storage for nutrients, water, and waste material.
Lysosome: A type of vesicle. Contains special digestive chemicals. Destroys unwanted substances inside the cell.

13. Plant cells 1. Plant cells have two more structures to know.
2. Chloroplast is a structure inside plant cells
that does photosynthesis.
3. Plant cells also have tougher cell walls.
This is why you can’t eat grass.

Therefore, a plant can essentially feed itself. It makes its own food (sugar).
Afterwards, it uses its mitochondria to convert sugar into energy.
If you think about it, they sort of have to, because most of them can’t move around to eat food.

15. Cellular Respiration Essentially a backward photosynthesis

Cellular respiration occurs in the mitochondria of
both animal and plant cells to make energy.
Both plants and animals must do this,
because they all need energy.
