Course structure ● Lectures Presence in lectures is obligatory
Lectures are held every Tuesday at 8:00-9:40 Small Lecture Hall - Three absences are tolerated, more frequent absences must be based on official certificate and will be solved individually

Immune system, overview. Phagocytic cells, complement. Communication between cells of immune systems, adhesion molecules, cytokines. Špíšek Antigen processing and presentation, HLA I and II class. Šedivá Immunity against infection. Adkins Specific (adaptive) immunity T and B lymphocytes. Palich - Fučíková Immunodeficiency,vaccination. Immunity against tumors. Immunology of transplantation. Course structure ● Seminars - The first seminar and presentation of your thesis are compulsory; the time of other seminars is devoted to self-studying, preparation of seminar thesis and consultations with teachers

Seminar thesis ● groups of 1-3 students ● structure of thesis:
1000 – 2000 words form of an essay briefly & concisely & interestingly Abstract, text and references (literature) are obligatory, subchapters and discussion are recommended ●Term of submission: until in the digital form (doc, docx form preffered) - has to be sent to:

Oral presentations November 23, 30 and December 7 time 8.00-9.40
November 24 and December 1 and 8 - each thesis will be presented verbally - range: 8 minutes Powerpoint presentation (6-10 slides)

Final appraisal ● Presence on lectures ● Seminar thesis:
fulfilled / not fulfilled + verbal appraisal (after presentation) ● Verbal examination: 2 out of 50 questions

Evaluation of the essay:
1/ Adherence to the length limits 2/ Correct content of the essay, no serious misunderstandings 3/ Satisfactory graphical layout and style of the essay Other comments: Evaluation of the verbal presentation: 3/ Satisfactory graphical layout and style of the presentation
