summary of new learning made after the new learning takes place, not during the new learning use a variety of graphic organizers use colour for highlighting key points keep a master list of notes, e.g. in class? moodle? students can use Summary Notes during unit summative assessments students can use Summary Notes to create a graphic organizer for the key learnings of the course to use during final evaluations

Tips for Test Taking Some items to consider…
allow students to use summary notes allow students to use material posted in room during the unit – a “quest” instead of a test have students create reference sheets “sell” hints include an interview component hold a brief math talk session before students attempt a multi-step problem give choice
