40 or under
Can only win once
Main focus is on AFCEA contributions
Emerging Leadership
Must have won DYA award (at least two years ago)
For example, if you won DYA for 2016, you can win Emerging Leader for 2018
Main focus is on demonstration of continuous leadership since winning the DYA award

5. Young AFCEAN Awards Regional DYA
Each AFCEA Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) selects one of the nominated DYAs from their Region to receive this award
Distinguished Young AFCEAN of the Year
The Awards Committee then votes one of these Regional DYAs as the Distinguished Young AFCEAN of the Year
Recipient is not notified ahead
of ceremony

Focus is on providing programs and initiatives geared to the needs of Young AFCEANs including professional development
Compete with chapters in same size category
Chapter President typically nominates their YAC Program for this award
Chapter has to have
