5. MAIN PROBLEMS Old system: 1980.
Performance limited by the electronics.
No spares for electronics/detectors.
Obsolete CAMAC Racks.
Every detector has to be dismantled and calibrated every year.
Non standard system: different from SPS and LHC.

12. PLANNING We are going to install and test:
8-16 IC’s in the PS.
LHC Electronics and Software in the b.368.
The threshold comparator program and the combiner program needs a modification but the Technical specification document has to be done before the software modification.
The studies for the new electronics start in March.
