What is a sentence? A sentence is a group of words that are put together to mean something. A sentence is the basic unit of language which expresses a complete thought. 14/11/2018 Marine Milad

What is a sentence? A complete sentence has at least a subject and a main verb to state (declare) a complete thought. For example: I write English. 14/11/2018 Marine Milad

What is a sentence? In English and many other languages, the first word of a written sentence has a capital letter. At the end of the sentence there is a full stop or full point (American: 'period'). You speak English . 14/11/2018 Marine Milad

Should present the main idea in the paragraph you are writing. It shouldn’t be too broad or too narrow. Supporting sentences: They should all support the topic sentence and should be relevant.
