2 SUGGESTION FOR PROPOSAL
Research and development actions focus on: Experience and Application Research leading to large scale demonstrators to mainstream accessibility in particular in the areas of smart environment, next generation mobiles, digital TV and future related services. Work will benefit by using existing infrastructures of key industrial actors in the field and involving users (elderly and disabled people) in the RTD process. Demonstration scenarios will focus on living environments for older people (at home and at the medical centers). >> Instrument: IP on e-Inclusion for elderly people << With focus on technologically advanced solutions to: * Promote an active aging and dependence prevention * Rehabilitate older adults with neuropsychological disorders and/or with mobility impairments * Promote e-health and at home caregiving systems

Mobile monitoring and automatic fall detection device for elderly people living alone Positioning, orientation and monitoring systems for people with dementia in outdoor environments Neurorehabilitation of people suffering from cognitive disorders using intelligent tools based in PDA platforms

4 TOPICS Monitoring, risk control and orientation system for elderly people living in residential settings User guiding User’s monitoring User management Development of mechatronic assistive devices to assist people with mobility impairments Research and development activities in Biomechanics Advanced control systems Advanced Human Machine Interfaces Development of experimental prototypes

5 TOPICS Neurorehabilitation and motor rehabilitation
using virtual environments Development of specific neurorehabilitation programs for different pathologies, both acquired and degenerative, using virtual reality and artificial intelligence Motor rehabilitation Virtual environment systems based on 3D images Use of touch technology (haptic technologies) Biofeedback and neurorehabilitation.
