Flowers and foliage can be classified according to their shapes and forms Each shape serves a specific purpose Designers must be able to recognize the plant shapes and forms to solve many design problems Four Classifications Line, form, mass and filler

Used to create an outline of a design Almost serve as a skeleton Include tall, erect spikes of blossoms with florets blooming along the stem Add height and width to an arrangement
