Kentucky Kids Day This day was set up by the Kentucky State Legislature on (((DATE))) to let kids know that they are unique and special. We encourage PTAs to do something special for their students. Here are some examples of ways to highlight your students. Red Carpet and take pictures of the kids as they come in – making them feel like a star. Then hang the pictures around the school to showcase your students. Create a theme and build a day around it. Examples Give your students a hand – so a pat on the back, a round of applause at the end of the day, and hand themed items. Your Thumb-body special. – Art work showcasing everyone’s thumb print is unique just like them and that is special. Make an items on this day that will remind them that everyone is unique and special. Put post it notes on lockers – complimenting all your students.

Founder’s Day National PTA was formed on February 17, 1897.
Therefore we celebrate Founder’s Day on this date every year. It is a good time to remind your members that PTA has a long and celebrated history of speaking up for our students. Some PTA also make a donation to the KY PTA. Half of the donation remains with KY PTA and the other half is sent to National PTA. All PTAs that make a donation become part of the KY PTA Founders Day Honor Roll.
