13 Stephen’s definition:
A Spiritual gift is when the actual Holy Spirit has given you a real part of His very own character to allow you to be a help and a blessing to others. Stephen’s definition:

14 When you feel Inferior…. When you feel Superior…..

15 We don’t use our spiritual gifts because we tell lies to ourselves…….
I am a failure. I am inadequate. I am not good enough. I am not worth it. I don’t measure up. I do not know what I am doing. I am wrong. I am not acceptable.

16 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3-14

17 He chose us. He predestined us for adoption.

18 We have redemption through his blood. The forgiveness of sins

19 God’s grace that he lavished on us
He made known to us the mystery of his will We were also chosen We might be for the praise of His glory You were included in Christ

20 You were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. Ephesians 1:3-14

21 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Psalm 139: 13-14

22 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

23 We will confidently use our spiritual gifts because……..
I am chosen. I am accepted. I am valuable. God has a place for me. I am free. I am loved. I am forgiven. I belong. I can do it.

24 When you feel superior….. Be humble and serve.

25 List of service related gifts found in Scripture.

26 All Christians are called to: be sincere, be devoted, honor, serve, be patient, be faithful, share, practice hospitality, bless, live in harmony, associate with people of low position Romans 12:3-16

27 From other passages of scripture, we see that all Christians are also called to encourage, have faith, give, help, look to the Lord for discernment, knowledge and wisdom, have mercy, teach, and be involved in evangelism.

28 Administration, (to rule)
From this list, I only see 3gifts that not every Christian is suppose to do at some point: Administration, (to rule) Leadership (directing the life of the church) Preaching (Publicly communicating God’s Word)

29 How will we respond when we are called to serve in an area that is not our strength or spiritual gift?

30 …….To equip God’s people for works of service. Ephesians 4:12

31 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45

32 God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble
God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may life you up in due time. I Peter 5:5-6

33 My power is made perfect in weakness. II Cor. 12:9

34 Will you confidently use it to help and bless others?
As a believer, the Holy Spirit has given you at least one spiritual gift. Will you confidently use it to help and bless others?
