1. Yuna Kim

2. Introduction
Yuna Kim was born on September 5, 1990 in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She is now retired, she hasn’t got married. She made world record 10 times. She became the world champion in figure skating and made figure skating more popular than before in Korea.

3. Early life
Yuna moved to Gunpo when she was 6. She had a coach (Ryu Jong-Hyun) who told her she had a perfect body for skating and she was talented. I think it made her to take skating seriously. In Korea at that time, it wasn’t popular at all, so there weren’t many good ice rinks.  Yuna became a member of the national team when she was in middle school 1. I wonder how she could be that good at  skating at about my age! At that age she participated in Korea Figure skating competition 6 times and got gold medals all the time. She also participated in Junior Grand Prix final of figure skating in 2004, 2005 and got a gold medal and a silver medal. She went to Korea University and mostly did gym.

4. Senior career
Yuna practiced her skating in her school ice rink or Korean National Training Center. She got two gold, two silver and two bronze medals in ISU world championship. She also participated two times in Olympics in Vancouver and Sochi. I think in Sochi Olympic, Yuna should have gotten a gold medal because Adelina Sotnikova who got the gold medal had lots of mistakes. However Yuna was perfect in the Olympics. I think the judges were wrong because there were three Russian judges, and I think they gave the Russian player a high score even though she made lots of mistakes.

5. Recent situation
Yuna retired after Sochi Olympics. She is now getting treatments because while she practiced, she didn’t fix anything with her feet. So her feet will be better now.

6. Conclusion
I respect her because she donated over 4 million dollars to poor figure skaters and poor families. In the future, I will donate like her, so that people would live in a better environment. I will try hard every time just like her.
