2 Respect!!!! Everyone in the room Teacher(s), peers, and guests
Our classroom will be based upon this basic premise Respect the classroom- No Food or Drink!

3 Late policy Be in your seat and prepared at the bell
2 lates in the same week is a teacher detention; 5 accumulated lates is a write-up Have your notebook and materials out and begin the Do-Now

4 Make-up work Your responsibility
Extra Help Day: Wednesday (or by appointment) B104 Late assignments will lose 20% of total value the first day it is late and 10% for each subsequent day

5 Electronic Devices “Zero Tolerance” policy Keep in locker
Review student handbook for school policy

6 Supplies Pen or pencil Notebook for class notes and assignments
Folder for handouts and assignments Journal handout (one for each marking period) Any book being used in class (literary or vocabulary)

Or access through district website (Teachers on the Web) Check daily for assignments, schedules, and notes

8 Grading Policy You earn your grade Points based
200 pts.- Tests and major papers 100 pts.- Quizzes and essays 50 pts.- Classwork and homework

9 English Test Day Tuesday Quizzes can be on any day of the week

10 Class Participation Will count as a test grade each marking period
Your behavior and participation in class can greatly help or hurt your grade Daily deductions Teacher talks to you about being a distraction to your classmates= 2 points off of M.P. class part. Teacher detention= 5 points off Write-up= 10 points off Base score consists of participation, cooperation, interaction w/ peers, etc.
