Water security: By 2030, it is projected that almost half of the world’s population will live in regions characterized by high water stress.  This is especially troublesome given increasing rates of population growth.
Climate change: Carbon trading is the world’s fastest growing commodities market, with the most recent World Bank report estimating the value of global carbon markets at US$176 billion. Criminal networks are already heavily engaged in global carbon markets, exploiting loopholes and naïve investors in order to  extract billions of dollars in criminal proceeds.
