Reading Frederick Douglass
Independently finish reading the text if you started it after your test. Stop every page to analyze what is happening in the story. After you finish reading, fill in the “Plot Outline” for the story (on Canvas). Also, answer the following questions: What point of view is this written in? What is the setting? The theme? How do you perceive Frederick Douglass?

Narrative Assignment Questions?
4
Narrative You will have the rest of the class to work on your narrative assignment. The rough draft for this will be due Monday, November 28th (A)/Tuesday, November 29th (B). We will peer edit in class. If you are absent, you will need to contact a peer in class to have them edit your paper during Bull Time. Your paper MUST be peer edited prior to being turned in or your won’t receive full credit. The final draft will be turned in on Wednesday, November 30th (A)/Thursday, December 1st (B) on TurnItIn.com If you are absent, you will need to get the directions for submitting to TurnItIn from my slides (they are always posted to my website under the days date that we did them in class) and submit your paper. If you are unable to access the internet to submit it, you must submit it first thing on the day you return to school, or you can your paper to me and I can upload it to TurnItIn for you. You will have some time during each day in class this week to work on the paper, but you are responsible for making sure it is finished by the due date.

Today… Decide which perspective that you are going to take for your paper. Work on filling in your graphic organizer to start outlining your paper. If you complete this appropriately, your paper will be much easier to write and will come together much easier for you. Begin drafting the essay.
