Come to school ready to learn (resources, brain & mindset). Work hard and play hard. Behaviour: Be role models to the rest of the school. Support their peers. Take responsibilities seriously. Be the best you can be!

5 Our commitment Support your child to achieve their potential.
Keep you informed of progress and any issues. Support your child’s transition to KS3.

6 Your role Support your child with their homework, especially reading at home. Help your child develop independence. Keep school informed of any issues at home.

7 Homework Children should be responsible for completing weekly homework tasks: Daily reading Spellings English Maths (Mathletics) Blog contribution

8 Reading at home Children should read daily: Reading journal
Crucial to learning – books, newspapers, magazines Develops fluency Develops comprehension Develops confidence Reading journal Complete the set weekly task Reading with an adult Discuss the theme, the characters Ask questions (see blog)
