This template is designed to help you ensure that you have all of the required components in your presentation. You may want to add additional slides or shuffle the slide order to fit better with your story or to make a more compelling and persuasive argument. Include audio & visual elements as desired. Change the design as desired, but be sure to use a font and color scheme that is easy to read. Consult with a marketing/business teacher or English teacher at your school. Refer to the scoring rubric in the competition rules. Consider using PowerPoint instead of Google Slides or Prezi so that you can save your presentation to a thumb drive. 4 Definitions Criterion: a standard of judgment or criticism; a rule or principle for evaluating or testing something. Anecdotal: based on personal observation, case study reports, or random investigations rather than systematic scientific evaluation; containing anecdotes, short accounts of a particular incident or event Articulate: express or present with clarity and effectiveness Prototype: the original or model on which something is based or formed. Intuitive: easy to understand or operate without explicit instruction Scalable: number of users can be increased on demand without an excessive increase cost or loss of functionality

6 Problem Description Outline the problem is that you are trying to solve. Scoring Criterion: A clear and complete description is provided, and includes all significant variables or aspects of the problem that need to be addressed.

9 Client Impact How is the client affected by the Problem?
Did you talk to actual clients? Scoring Criterion: Articulately explains how the client is affected by the problem and includes all necessary data gathered from research and anecdotal information from clients to provide a complete picture.

10 Choices Made for Our Solution
How did your research and design process led to this prototype? Scoring Criterion: Team clearly articulates research, design, and testing that led to the prototype.

11 Advantages of Our Solution
What makes your solution better than others and best for the client? Scoring Criterion: Team clearly describes advantages of prototype over other solutions for client citing multiple reasons.

12 Demonstration Use your prototype to show how your client will use it.
Make sure your prototype is functional and explain it’s functionality. Be able to explain its features and how it is used. After your demo, a judge or other volunteer “client” will try the device. Scoring Criteria: Demonstrates that easily used by client and is intuitive. Explains all of the features and functions of the prototype. Fully functional, smooth no pauses or bugs. Client was able to use it with no assistance from team.

What happens next in order to bring to the client? How is your product scalable? Scoring Criterion: Team clearly describes the next steps they need to undertake to bring prototype to the client.
