2. Rules of three figure bearings
The North is the starting point and it is the 0⁰
All angles are measured from the North in a clockwise direction.
All bearings are written using 3 numbers , 187⁰, 025⁰.

3. Drawing bearings
The bearing of A from B is 056 ⁰. Look at the from. This means that the North is drawn from the B.
Then the angle is drawn clockwise to get to A
On the diagram, angles can be written without the 0 in front.

The bearing of A from B is 200⁰

7. Finding angles from bearings.
The bearing of B from A is 025⁰. What is the bearing of A from B ?
Always remember that all arrows pointing N are parallel to each other and so angles of parallel lines ( alternate, corresponding, interior) can be used.

8. Using two or more bearings
A, B and C are three ships. The bearing of A from B is 045º.
The bearing of C from A is 135º.
If AB= 8km and AC= 6km, what is the bearing of B from C?
Hint : In paper 1 or 2B, there will always be a right angle 

9. Using 2 or more bearings ( paper 2A)
Hint : don’t set your heart on finding a 90⁰ 
B is 8km away from A on a bearing of 060⁰
C is 12km away from B on a bearing of 130⁰
