BRICC - BRain Injury and Concussion Clinic –Cognitive Rehabilitation C-NOW - Early Intervention/Preschool Age Clients School –Age Clinic – Ages 5-21, Speech, Language, Social Communication Fluency – All Ages – Stuttering, Cluttering AAC – All Ages – Low and High Tech AAC users CAALMS - Clinic for Adults with Aphasia, Acquired Language and Motor Speech Disorders

What Does It Mean For Fall Term?
Mostly Assigned to One Clinic AAC and Fluency will be paired Some Assignments Will Fall Outside Clinics – Voice, Off Campus Placements, Hearing Screenings, etc. Clinics will have blocked Days and Times Expanded clinic hours to 6 p.m. regularly, most clinics Group Meetings Lots of CFT and other Group Collaboration (EC Cares, Early Intervention Students, etc.) Mix of First and Second Years in Each Clinic Informal Mentoring of Clinic Processes – Clinic Specific

What Clinic Will I Be In? Goal is to Create Even Groups while Meeting Individual Training Needs Missing Competencies/Experiences, Significant Gaps in Life Span Continuing Needs At Off-Campus Sites Areas of Interest (Per Background/Interest Forms) Specialty Clinic Personnel Needs

What Does This Mean For Summer
Busy Clinic Term! Continued Programmatic Shift to Heavier Clinic in Summer, Lighter Course Credits Expect 4-5 placements! Placements may have multiple clients Placements may be intense for portion of summer Some EC Cares sites 30-60 clock hours Filling in training gaps based on expected Specialty Clinic placement for Fall If Placed in Neuro Clinic for Fall, may have no/few adult clients in summer You may hear from supervisors about specific clients or placement Schedules week 1 of summer term

Engage and Immerse yourself in your Specialty Clinic Experience Focus on Experiences Vs. Clock Hours Everyone is on track! Most Students Graduate with more than 400 clock hours! Challenge Yourself to Be a Leader/Mentor for First Years Pace Yourself! Fall Term is Coursework Heavy! Advocate for Competencies Summer Sept Experience Fall Term Check Your Regularly after September 16th
