Solutions -a simple solution is a homogeneous (same) mixture of two substances. solute = the dissolved substance ex. Kool-Aid solvent = the major component in the solution. ex. water or alcohol -solute and solvent particles are in constant random motion

Solutions heterogeneous homogeneous

Solutions -this motion causes diffusion (to spread out) of the solute into the solvent, resulting in a homogeneous solution

Solutions -when a solid is in contact with a liquid, at least some dissolution (dissolving) always occurs. -When salts dissolve in water, positive and negative ions are separated and surrounded by polar water molecules

Solutions Assignment Draw a cartoon that talks about solutions. It does not have to be funny. The cartoon can be a single panel or three panels and must use at least 2 lines of dialogue minimum. Below your cartoon, write a paragraph that explains how your cartoon is related to solutions.
