3 Introduction Your principal has discovered that many citizens in your community are knowledgeable about some of South Carolina's state symbols. However, most citizens in your community know very little about the history behind the state symbols. You will be sent on a scavenger hunt to locate information about South Carolina’s state symbols. Your job will be to inform these citizens and your class of the history behind the state symbols.

4 Task You will be learning more information about South Carolina's state symbols. As you explore each website, you will record your information on the Scavenger Hunt sheet. Once you have visited all of the websites, use the information on your Scavenger Hunt sheet to create a display of South Carolina's state symbols (this can include, a poster, game, mobile, etc.). Select five symbols of your choice to include in your project. Be sure to include a picture of each symbol and two key facts about each.
