2. Introduction
Different types of government spread out across every country. Some countries like Australia have the right to stand up and have a say while in other countries they don’t even have government.

3. Types of Government
In the world there are lots of government types such as Monarchy, Dictatorship, Anarchy and Communism. The difference between these governments is that Monarchy is where the country is owned by a queen or a king. Some monarchy countries are Malaysia, Spain, Japan, Cambodia etc. Dictatorship is where there is only one leader and they are normally cruel. Dictatorship countries include North Korea and Egypt. Anarchy is when there is no government and no leader, anyone can do whatever they want. There are only two countries under Anarchy which is Somalia and Yemen. Communism means where all properties are owned as a community. Some communist countries are Afghanistan, China, Cuba etc.

4. Australian government type
Australia is a democratic country, it has it’s own parliament where they make laws and rules. Our prime minister is Tony Abbot, they punish people who break laws and do crimes. They also hold elections; people in Australia vote for a prime minister every 3 years you have to be 18 or over to vote and if you don’t you will get fined a lot of money. Australia’s government cares about our safety that’s why they add crossing, traffic lights and more.

5. 3 levels of government
Did you know that Australia has 3 levels of government! Which are federal, the whole of Australia, state/Territory which is Victoria and local which is you live and work. States and territories get money from the federal government and local gets money from federal, state and territory. They each have their own responsibilities. There are over 650 Local governments, they all make there owns decision. Federal responsibilities include defence, immigration and currency. State/territory responsibilities include educations, health, renting, transport and environment. Local responsibilities include roads, collecting garbage, childcare and libraries.
