You work in the cardiology department at your local hospital, using high-tech equipment to assess patients with heart problems
You’ll have a lot of direct patient contact, working with people of all ages, ranging from babies to the elderly.
Cardiac physiologists are the tools that cardiologists and surgeons need to diagnose and treat heart diseases.
You work as part of a mutlidisciplinary team

Wanted to be a Biomedical scientist working in labs in the hospital. Summers during Uni worked in lab at NMGH for experience-unpaid
Year out- Cultural representative UK Pavilion EPCOT- Florida
Study Co-Ordinator- Phase 1 clinical trials
From a phase 2 study discovered role of Cardiac Physiologist
On Job training for 4 years & BSc Clinical Physiology- specialism cardiology
PGCert Higher & Professional Education & Training – Now Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist- Education & Training Lead & a full time working mum
Usual specialism include Echo (BSE) & Devices (BHRS)
