2. Limitations in the AHRI LLHE Certification Program
Scope of AHRI LLHE program within which the certification mark can be used.
Media: water and seawater
Flow: max 2000 GPM or 126 l/s
Capacity: max kBTU/h or 7 MW
Outside above limitations, AQ models can no longer be sold.
We can no longer say, “in accordance with” or, “according to” the AHRI LLHE program or AHRI Standard It is either certified or not certified.

3. How to get an AHRI verified design when the flow rate is over 2000 gpm
For reference only, do a full scale AHRI design using AQ model designation.
Do the identical design but with a non-AHRI model.
To get AHRI verification for the design, do an AHRI selection for the same temperature profile but with the flow rate scaled down to 2000 gpm or less.
The scaled-down selection can be verified by AHRI.
This is similar to doing a design for current conditions (at 2000 gpm or less) and future conditions (full scale conditions).
