5. What Should I Expect???
Course Description: The purpose of Freshman Literature/Composition is for students to explore the cultures and literatures found across the world. Students will be able to comprehend different types of literature and  will be able to think cross-culturally to examine the question what drives humanity.
Course Objectives:
Students will be able to think critically using their knowledge and experiences.
Students will be able to read critically and analyze for information.
Students will be able to improve reading comprehension.
Students will be able to compose well-developed, cohesive essays varying in sentence-structure, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.
Students will be able to write effectively and critically for multiple audiences.
Students will be able to gain confidence in public speaking during formal and informal settings.
Students will be able to exercise effective study skills and note-taking strategies.
Students will be able to conduct academic research.
