“I AM” Poems Create a poem about yourself.
Think carefully about the words you choose and their placement. There are many variations that will work for you, some more than others. Be especially thoughtful about your first line, because it will be repeated and significant. Pay attention to the flow of the words. We will do a draft in class and then, when you are done, read it aloud to yourself or someone else for feedback. We will share and post your poem in class. For the final version, type or write the poem in any size and font you’d like. Just make sure it is readable. You can decorate the page if you would like or simply leave it plain – your choice. Just make it neat.
