4 Singleton Data Dictionary
There is a clear separation between environment configuration and environment metadata. Configuration files are no longer duplicated. Separate configuration files still exist, but they are not duplicated for a cluster. Oracle Business Intelligence metadata is stored in a Singleton Data Directory (SDD). SDD is used for metadata and other cross-cluster files. There is one SDD for each domain. The default location is set to DOMAIN_HOME/bidata. The SDD path is defined in the bi-environment.xml file located in: DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/bienv/core/bi- environment.xml Oracle BI 12c: New Features for Administrators

5 Uploading a Repository to BI Cloud Services
You can upload an on-premises repository (.rpd file) created with Oracle BI Enterprise Edition to Oracle BI Cloud Service. After uploading an on-premises data model to the cloud, you can build visualizations, analyses, and dashboards with Oracle BI Cloud Service in the usual way. The high-level steps for uploading an on-premises data model (repository) are: Take a snapshot of your Oracle BI Cloud Service instance. Whenever you upload an on-premises data model, the existing data model gets deleted and replaced in Oracle BI Cloud Service. Always back up the existing data model before you overwrite it so that you can restore the instance of Oracle BI Cloud Service to a previous working state if a problem occurs. Connect your on-premises data model to Oracle Database Cloud Service (Database as a Service) using the Connection Pool dialog box in the Oracle BI Administration Tool, Upload the on-premises data model to Oracle BI Cloud Service. To upload an on-premises data model, access the Service Console for Oracle BI Cloud Service and click the Replace Data Model button. After uploading an on-premises data model to BI Cloud Service, continue to use the Oracle BI Administration Tool to manage your data model. If you want to improve or make updates after you have uploaded a data model to Oracle BI Cloud Service, make your updates in the Administration Tool and upload the data model again. Access the Service Console for Oracle BI Cloud Service and click the Replace Data Model button. Oracle BI 12c: New Features for Administrators

8 WIDTH_BUCKET Function
WIDTH_BUCKET returns either the bin number or one of the two end points of the bin interval. The Bin number or the lower or the high value of the Bin interval. Formula are as follows:- Number: WIDTH_BUCKET("Base Facts"."1- Revenue", NUMBER, 4 ,0, ). Low Range: WIDTH_BUCKET("Base Facts"."1- Revenue", RANGE_LOW, 4 ,0, ). 9 TRENDLINE Function The TRENDLINE function measures data across time and shows a line chart of a metric by ordered records. Currently the TRENDLINE function can model data as linear and exponential regression.
