+ Entry requirements… AT LEAST 8 GCSEs at Grade 9-5 (or equivalent)
(including a Grade 5-9 in English Language and Maths) + Subject specific entry requirements We aim to admit AT LEAST 50 students from other schools We aim to admit 10% of external applications or 5 students (whichever is greater) based on aptitude in Music or Sport Up to 30 additional offers can be made on Results’ Day in August

A Level Curriculum change…
All A Levels from September will be linear All exams at the end of Year 13 No AS Levels offered at the end of Year 12 All students to complete a MINIMUM of 3 A Levels

Our curriculum offering…
Minimum of 3 A Levels for every student 5 hours per week in each subject BUT… Individualised pathways: The most able – we hope to offer a 4th A Level Many students will also chose to study the EPQ as an additional qualification Enrichment / Work Shadowing

Our curriculum offering…
Like all schools, with ever-increasing financial constraints, we have had to take some decisions regarding the breadth of the curriculum that we offer. It is with regret that in September 2018 we will not be running A Level courses in: Design & Technology Drama Music. Other local providers have also had to reduce their curriculum offers in similar ways Please note that although these three subjects do appear in our Sixth Form Prospectus, they will not be offered or run in September 2018

What to do next? Important dates…
Today: 6th Form Application Form AND prospectus can be accessed from the school website The next 5 weeks: Review A Level choices/prospectus/discuss with subject staff 10th January Deadline for return of all applications Week beginning 19th February Letters will begin to be issued confirming places/non-offers Early March Deadline for all offers to be accepted and forms returned to school

All applications need to be completed online When you press ‘submit’ please ensure: You get a message saying we have received your form You get an saying we have received your form (Please check your SPAM folder) If this doesn’t happen, please ‘scroll up’ it may be that something in the form has not been completed accurately.

All this information will be contained in your offer letter.
On GCSE Results Day… If you do not meet the specific grades required for entry – you will be unable to join us. Please have a PLAN B and a PLAN C All this information will be contained in your offer letter. Please note up to 30 offers will also be made on Results’ Day for students who failed to receive an initial offer, or did not apply, but then go on to meet the overall entry requirements.
