Spring 1997 – began offering 4 courses online Summer 1998 – established Distance and Virtual Learning department 2018 – 150+ online course offerings each semester with another 120+ offered in the summer

Established in 2007; launched in January 2008 Intended to serve non-traditional students Parkland was positioned to be integral to this initiative
