Bid led by Dorset and Devon County Councils, and the Dorset Coast Forum – a strong and lasting legacy of Forum work

What makes the concept of World Heritage exceptional is its universal application. World Heritage sites belong to all the peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located.

A strong Jurassic Coast identity and a strong Jurassic Coast Trust can only be good news for the environment and the visitor centres, museums, businesses, community groups, residents and visitors for whom the Jurassic Coast is important
