Fascism Types of governments What is a Fascist government?
Definition: how a government is run Democracy: people elect their leader ex: USA Anarchy: there is absolutely no government ex: Antarctica Monarchy: ruled by a royal family member king or queen ex: Great Britain Communism: society should work together and be organized. ex: Russia Fascist government: Fascism is a type of government where it is ruled by a powerful leader and the Country as a whole is seen more important than the people or groups within it

Control over media and security People of Fascist Government’s Corruption What is it like to have a fascist government Nationalism- Nationalism is High so most people in the fascism rules country are like “Yeahh this is America! GO AMERICA! We are the best” Military Police- they have a lot of power. The military is always good and it is glamorized as one of the best. Police have limitless power as they enforce the laws set by the leader Media/security- the government basicallly has control over everything. They only allow media that is pro against them. Censorhip is common as the government wants to keep stuff hidden. The People- The government uses fear to control people , and the only source of security for the people is the government so they are more vulnerabletmo allow the government to do things. The people of this type of government tend to overlook torture of people, a specific race. The government also uses the majority religion in the country and use it to their advantage to manipulate public opinion Corruption- The leader usually oppoints family members and close people to prominent roles in government. Elections are rigged and the government uses media to idolize themselves. The leader usually has acces straight to the treasury and can use whatever money he wants

A Fascist government may be good because the goernment can quickly come up with a solution. The leader, if a good one, can see what is best for the country and make a decision as he seems necessart There is no opposition to his decision and it can be a good thing. In a Fascist government , there wouldn’t be a government shutdown ,, since two opposing parties would not exist It makes stuff easy as what the leader says goes. Cons- At the end of the day it is a dictatorship. A person has litlle freedom and can’t express what he believes the government should do. What the leader says goes, and that can be against the will of some people

Democratic Governments becoming an issue Founding Father Democratic governments- elections by the people to vote on leader and the general will etc .The 19th century brought forth an expansion of Democacy following the French Revolution in late 18th century Fascism was a type of counter government to democracy Some conservative countries were threatened by the change and responded to the change with Fascism,(They looked to gain power and also supress the chances of a Revolution) which was similar to absolutism which could be seen previous to the French Revolution Benito Mussolini-IN 1922, IN ITALY, Benito Mussolini brought forth the first Fascist Government -After WW1, Italy suffered tremendously as did other countries -Its people were dissatisfied with government as WW1 did not bring the things that were promised -Mussolini emerged as the person to take Italy away from the brink of Anarchy , seemed as if he as the only one that could save Italy from it weak political status -As a leader of the National Fascist party, and support from the lower and middle classes, Mussolini easily took control of the government and took the seat Prime minister with ease, running a dictatorship until losing in World War 2 -He also becam the Ally of Adolf Hitler Benito Mussolini

WW2 Fascists Modern Day Fascism Adolf Hitler was considered by some to be a fascist leader during WW2 that persued segregation rather than allowing a coexistence of different racial and ethnic groups. Engelbert Dolfub’s- Austria ( ) Used most of Mussolini’s concept and Fascist government ended when Austria joined Nazi Germany Last Fascist government were in Spain in Portugal and stayed in power until the 1970s, because they stayed out of world war 2. There are none governments that are fascist in the modern day
